Last chance to see this acclaimed production which features extracts from some of Verdi’s best known operas including romantic love duets, stirring solos and dramatic ensembles culminating in the full company’s involvement in the dramatic close of Act 2 of La Traviata. There is nothing quite like the excitement of a live performance so if you can’t remember when you last went out to a concert, come along to one of the following venues:

St Mary’s Church, Barnard Castle                Saturday 30th September

St Nicholas Church Hall, Guisborough*      Saturday 7th October

(*tickets for this performance can also be obtained from Guisborough Bookshop in Chaloner Street and Guisborough Town Hall Information Centre)

All concerts start at 7:30. Tickets cost just £15 for adults (under 16s and students £1) and can be purchased direct from any Opera Nova member, by phone/text from 07795 323985 or by emailing secretary@operanova.org.uk.  A number of Earlybird tickets at £12 per adult are also available for most performances.  Please contact secretary@operanova.org.uk for further information.  Online tickets can also be purchased via Eventbrite – please visit our website (see below) for the link.  Please note that Eventbrite will add a small commission to the cost of each ticket.

Calling All Singers: Open Rehearsal Tuesday 17th October – Everyone Welcome!

We are now recruiting singers in all voice parts (but particularly tenors and baritones) for our exciting Spring 2024 concert, ‘Partytime!’, which will include a selection of fun choruses and ensembles from opera and operetta including songs from The Merry Widow. We hope to present The Merry Widow as our production for Summer/Autumn 2024.  If you might like to act as well as sing, this could be your opportunity. Please contact our secretary (tel: 07795 323985 or email secretary@operanova.org.uk) for further information.  You do not need to have previous experience of singing opera or be able to sight read so come along and give us a try.
