Opera Nova based in the Tees Valley in the North East of England performs opera music at a variety of venues throughout the region.

The programme for 2018 features music from opera, musical theatre and film with the theme feuds, family, friendships - see events for remaining upcoming performances - note change of venue for Saturday 6 October. Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutte was also revived for two performances in June and July.

The 2017 season which was much enjoyed by the company and audiences alike, featured semi-staged performances of Carmen (Bizet) and Cosi Fan Tutte (Mozart). The group also joined with Darlington Choral Society for a performance of the Verdi Requiem. The end of season performance of Carmen in Guisborough was particularly well received - see news for more details.

Opera Nova provides a forum for operatic soloists and chorus to develop their abilities and new members are always welcome.

Rehearsals are held Tuesday evenings at Holy Trinity with Saint Mark Church, Stockton-on-Tees - see map.
