Opera Nova based in the Tees Valley in the North East of England performs opera music at a variety of venues throughout the region.

Musical director Richard Bloodworth is now rehearsing the 2018 programme which will feature music from opera, musical theatre and film with the theme feuds, family, friendships - see events for upcoming performances (more details to follow).

The 2017 season which was much enjoyed by the company and audiences alike, featured semi-staged performances of Carmen (Bizet) and Cosi Fan Tutte (Mozart). The group also joined Darlington Choral Society for a performance of the Verdi Requiem. The end of season performance of Carmen in Guisborough was particularly well received - see news for more details.
